New charges have been filed against a Westmoreland County Sheriff’s captain.
The Tribune-Review reports that Travis Day of Jeannette now faces charges of stalking and harassment for an incident that happened over the summer at a training academy session at Penn State. The complaint alleges that Day made unwanted advances on a female deputy sheriff, and would stare at her in class.
Day also allegedly rummaged through her belongings at her desk.
Day remains on suspension from the Sheriff’s office. He is scheduled to appear at a court in State College in early November.
