A Derry Township man now faces charges of aggravated and simple assault, harassment and strangulation for an incident in New Alexandria on Thursday.
The Tribune-Review reports that 30-year-old James Trice III was charged by State Police for the incident that happened at 3:15 AM on Dewey Lane. Police said the victim was assaulted inside Trice’s home, and she later fled to a friend’s home. She was later treated at AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, and she accused Trice of choking her and hitting her several times.
Trice is being held in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for October 24th.
