The Latrobe Industrial Development Authority is putting in an application for $1 million in state grants for Saint Vincent College.
The Tribune-Review reports that the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant money would be used for the expansion of the Latimer Family Library. Construction on that project is already underway, and $17 million in private investments have already come in for the reported $22 million project.
The new facility will have technology-enhanced classrooms, a computer lab, art galleries, and a “makerspace” with digital fabrication facilities among other items.
