A lawsuit has been filed against the Greensburg Catholic Diocese in connection with the grand jury report into sexual abuse allegations by members of the clergy.
The Tribune-Review reports that the man, identified in the lawsuit as John Doe, said that he was abused for three years starting in 1978 while the victim was an altar boy at the St. Hyacinth parish in Monessen, and that the late Joseph Tamilowski would give him alcohol and forced him to perform sex acts.
The lawsuit comes as the state senate is deliberating on approving a two-year window to allow victims of sexual abuse over the age of 30 to sue their abusers.
