Bishop Edward Malesic of the Greensburg Catholic Diocese will visit seven parishes for listening sessions concerning the accusations of sexual abuse and cover-ups by the church that were revealed in a grand jury report.
The newly-created Safe Environment Advisory Council will also attend the sessions, and then advise the church on how to best protect children. In a statement, the diocese says it will give people a chance to express their feelings and make suggestions.
The first listening session is tonight at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral parish in Greensburg from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
