Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Deputies have filed new charges after they stopped a woman they had been seeking for marijuana-related charges.
The Tribune-Review reports that 43-year-old Terri Downs-Hays of Smithton was arrested after deputies acted on a tip from an informant. Downs-Hays was wanted on marijuana-related charges at the time of her arrest, but authorities found her with crack cocaine, cocaine powder, Suboxone, Xanax, a crack pipe and a spring-assisted knife as they pulled her over on South Third Street in West Newton on Friday.
She is now in Westmoreland County Jail on $50,000 bond, with a preliminary hearing set for October 29th.
