A Latrobe man is in custody after police say he forced his way into an apartment, refused to leave and threatened to sexually assault a woman in the apartment.
KDKA-TV reports 33-year-old Tony Grooms forced his way into the apartment in the Ober building on Sunday. The victim eventually made her way back to the door and ordered him to get out, and called 911 as soon as he left. He was found at his apartment by police, and later admitted to being in the woman’s apartment.
Grooms was arraigned on charges of criminal trespass and false imprisonment, and was ordered to Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $5000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for November 5th.
