Westmoreland County Community College has awarded the chief of Parkland Police with their Distinguished Alumnus award.
The Tribune-Review reports that Chief Clyde Perry, a native of Jeannette, along with a few of his cops were the first to respond to the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School where a gunman killed seventeen people in 2018.
