A Bolivar man had to be subdued after he threatened to hurt himself in Westmoreland County Court after he was convicted of sexual assault. The Trib reports that a jury returned a guilty verdict against 60-year-old Jerry Boring on involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault in connection to allegations he repeatedly sexually assaulted his accuser over a five-year period that ended in February 2022. When the verdict was read, he tried to throw himself out of a window, but he was subdued by sheriff’s deputies. Boring continued to fight against deputies until he was placed in leg irons and taken back to Westmoreland County Prison. One deputy was hurt in the incident.
