A couple of animal rescues are caring for dozens of cats that were rescued from an extreme hoarding situation in Westmoreland County this week. A spokesperson for the All But Furgotten organization says well over 30 of the pets have been removed from a home in Latrobe after being found living in completely filthy and unsafe conditions. The animals are all suffering from physical problems and are also traumatized after living in complete neglect, according to caretakers. Ninth Life Rescue Center is pitching in to look after some of the cats as well. Both shelters are accepting donations and other assistance as they work to nurse the pets back to health.
