MONESSEN COMMUNITY REDEDICATES M4 SHERMAN TANK

Dozens of local veterans and Monessen community members gathered to rededicate the M4 Sherman Tank that has served as a memorial for veterans that is now back to its former glory.  The local American Legion post held a dedication for the newly-restored M-4 Sherman yesterday morning.  Community members helped raise 35-thousand dollars to give the tank a facelift and to put up a new plaque at the memorial.  The military machine has been on display at the park since 1959.
