There will be no regular mail for area residents today and all federal offices are closed. President Biden has declared today as a National Day of Mourning for Jimmy Carter. The country’s 39th president died December 29th at the age of 100. Biden and all of the nation’s living former presidents — including President-elect Trump — are expected to be in attendance today for Carter’s state funeral at Washington National Cathedral.
