A woman charged with stealing over $50,000 from an Indiana County band boosters group was sentenced on Friday. 57-year-old Lara Lee Brown pleaded guilty to four charges related to the embezzlement of the United School District Band Boosters that happened while she was the treasurer of the group. She used much of the stolen money to gamble and make personal purchases. The band and the boosters were going to use that money for a trip to Disney World. Brown will serve between six months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail and three years of probation after that.
