ARNOLD FORMER POLICE CHIEF CLAIMS HE WAS SET UP BY FORMER WIFE

Arnold’s suspended police chief claimed that he was set up by his former wife.  The Trib reports that 42-year-old Joshua Stanga was charged with theft, obstruction of justice and other crimes for what was described as a sting operation meant to check Stanga’s integrity.  When Stanga investigated a stolen car, he recovered $278 in bills banded together and fake oxycodone pills but did not report all the the cash, claiming he was suspicious of a setup.  Stanga and his attorney claim the set up was orchestrated by his ex-wife.  The lawyer for Stanga’s former wife did not respond to a request for comment.
