Wrongful death lawsuits have been filed against several nursing centers where several deaths occured. The Trib reports that those centers were the locations of several deaths at the hands of 42-year-old Heather Presdee, who is serving three consecutive life terms without parole and another 380 to 760 years after pleading guilty to charges of first-degree murder and 19 counts of attempted murder. She admitted to giving lethal doses of insulin to patients at five nursing homes in four counties. The civil lawsuits include counts of negligence and vicarious liability.
