The New Kensington-Arnold School Board approved the Act One Resolution that promises they will not raise taxes above a state-mandated limit. The Trib reports that the vote was taken at a special meeting on Tuesday. The resolution says the district will not raise taxes by more than 6% for the 2025-26 school year, if they raise taxes at all. The district’s preliminary budget includes a 3-mill increase in taxes, roughly 3%, and will not cut any staff positions. The final budget must be approved by June 30th.
