WEST PENN PLANNED POWER OUTAGE IN LATROBE TODAY

A planned power outage for West Penn customers in Latrobe will take place today.  KDKA-TV reports that the company plans to shut off power for several customers from 8-3 today in Latrobe.  Some are questioning the timing of the planned outage, citing dangers from the cold weather on residents and on pipes, but this is a final part of a project to increase capacity on the lines, and they have to work over a railroad crossing.  This is the first date available that the railroad line will be clear.
