A New Alexandria man who says state police used excessive force on him is filing a lawsuit. Forty-eight-year-old Denton Krapf was stopped on Glacier Drive in January of 2023 as he says he was walking to a local hospital for help with a mental health concern. He says officers punched him multiple times resulting in broken ribs and an injury to his skull. Officers say Krapf resisted arrest at the scene and that they employed control techniques and physical compliance strikes to gain control of him. State Police have not commented directly on the lawsuit.
