NEW ALEXANDRIA MAN’S TRIAL UNDERWAY

The trial of a New Alexandria man charged in connection with a 2023 incident in Unity is underway.  Authorities say that 48-year-old Denton Kapf was under the influence of drugs as he was wandering through people’s yards and that he later resisted arrest.  Kapf has filed a federal lawsuit claiming police used excessive force on him during his arrest.  Police denied that allegation yesterday on the stand.  The trial continues today.
