West Leechburg will receive 24/7 police coverage as part of a deal with Allegheny Township. The Trib reports that the arrangement begins in March, as Allegheny Township will provide round the clock coverage for roughly the cost that West Leechburg is paying to keep its three-officer police force going on a part-time basis. No tax increase will be needed to pay for the service. The three part-time officers will be allowed to join the Allegheny Township police force.
