PennDOT is setting aside dedicated windows of time at drivers license centers throughout the state to help folks who need to acquire a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or photo ID. The IDs will be required to be shown — starting May 7th — by anyone who wants to board a domestic commercial flight. Regionally, the first one in Westmoreland County will be March 17th at the Jeannette Drivers License Center on Lowry Avenue. Others will be held at other centers in April and May. Folks will be able to have their documents verified at the event and then should receive their REAL ID later in the mail.
