NO NEW POOL AT LIGONIER BEACH

A revival of the Ligonier Beach resort is in the works, but without its well-known swimming pool.  The resort first opened 100 years ago as Ligonier Valley Bathing Beach and Dean Martin reportedly sang there once early in his career.  Ligonier Township purchased the site in 2019 with plans for redevelopment.  A township study committee made the decision to exclude the pool following a consultant’s recommendation, citing “complexities of permitting restrictions.”
