Preparation is underway for a renovation at Hempfield High School. KDKA-TV reports that the project will cost $130 million. It will be paid for by various bond issues over several years. Assistant Superintendent Secondary Education Dr. Matt Conner said that the renovations are overdue, as it will help update the educational process for students. Along with the renovations, there will be new portions of the school to be built and new and updated equipment will be installed throughout the building. The renovation is expected to take two and a half to three years.
