One person was killed this morning in a three-vehicle crash in Salem Township. Reports say the accident happened just after 7 AM at the intersection of Routes 22 and 819. Authorities say that the tractor-trailer ran the red light and collided with a DMJ van on a run with the Greensburg-Salem School District and an SUV driven by a 17-year-old district student. No children were on board the van, but the driver was killed. The student in the SUV is expected to be okay and is being treated at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. The road was closed in both directions to allow state police and the coroner’s office to investigate.
