A former New Kensington man was sentenced in Federal Court this morning for federal firearms charges. Acting US Attorney Tony Moretti said in a statement that 19-year-old Steyun Sarduy was one of the two involved in a smash-and-grab robbery at RC Firearms in January of last year. He and co-conspirator Michael Guin used a stolen pickup truck to ram their way into the store and stole several guns. Sarduy was ordered to serve 30 months in federal prison and three years probation. Guin was sentenced earlier this year to 20 months in jail.
