GREENSBURG LOOKING FOR EASEMENTS IN NORTHMONT

Greensburg is looking for easements on 22 properties to alleviate flooding concerns in the Northmont section of the city.  The Trib reports that letters were sent out in late February to property owners who would be affected by a proposed flood control project for a stream along Glenview Avenue.The proposal involves the construction of concrete culverts and U-channels along the unnamed stream, and is expected to take two years to complete.  The cost of the project remains unknown, but will be funded through a state grant.
