FIRE DESTROYS HOME IN COOK TOWNSHIP

A home was destroyed in Cook Township on Monday.  The Trib reports that fire crews were called out at 10 AM to a home on Hauger-Hood Road.  The home is a total loss.  The family living in the house was able to escape without injury.  Tanker trucks from Westmoreland and Somerset counties were needed to supply water to the scene.  The cause of the fire appears to be accidental, but state police fire marshals will investigate the scene today.
