HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS TO VOTE NEXT WEEK ON MANAGEMENT TAKEOVER OF GRAPEVILLE FIRE COMPANY

Hempfield Township supervisors are set to vote next week on a management takeover of Grapeville Volunteer Fire Company.  The department is the latest one to seek non-chartered status with the township.  If the request is approved, the township will handle the finances for the fire company while volunteers will remain on to respond to calls.  Leaders in Hempfield have been working to consolidate the management of fire companies in the area since 2021.
