LATROBE POLICE DEPARTMENT PLANNING TO INSTALL NEW MICROPHONES

The Latrobe Police Department is planning to install new microphones at the station this year.  Chief Richard Bosco says they are going in interview rooms and in holding cells at the city lockup to help record and monitor what goes on.  The department is also replacing old lockers for officers and refreshing the paint, showers, and ceiling tiles in the locker area.  Some of the improvements are being covered by state grant funding.
