NINTH LIFE RESCUE CENTER DEALING WITH ONLINE SCAMMERS

Ninth Life Rescue Center is now dealing with online scammers.  KDKA-TV reports that multiple people are posing as them on Venmo to collect donations meant to go to the shelter but instead go to the suspects’ pockets.  The requests will use similar names and will even use pictures of their cats to make it seem real.  Police and the online platform have been notified, and the charity said they will never reach out directly for donations.
