An arraignment hearing is scheduled today for the man accused of stealing a Westmoreland County veteran’s car with his dog still inside last year. Kenneth Crider has been returned to Western Pennsylvania after being captured in North Carolina back in September. Authorities say Crider took the car from a Mount Pleasant store parking lot with Lucky inside, a ten-year-old Airedale terrier that belongs to 87-year-old Willard Martz. Authorities say Lucky was not in the car when Crider was found. The suspect reportedly told North Carolina police he let Lucky go at a rest stop on I-95 but no one has reported finding the dog since.
