A Westmoreland County judge has appointed a conservator to close the practice of a Latrobe lawyer accused of bilking a client. The Trib reports Judge Christopher Feliciani has assigned John Eric Buterbaugh of North Huntingdon to review case files and contact current and former clients of John Allen Roth, who was arrested last year on theft and related charges for allegedly stealing $31,000 from a client in jail and used the money for gambling. The judge also ordered all active legal cases that Roth served as lawyer to be indefinitely stayed to allow clients to find new lawyers.
