ARNOLD, NEW KEN, AND LOWER BURRELL WORKING TO FORM TRI-CITY FIRE CREW

The towns of Arnold, New Kensington and Lower Burrell are working together to form a tri-city fire crew to respond to daytime fire calls.  The Trib reports that this is in response to dwindling volunteer firefighters.  They plan to pool resources and personnel across city lines to make sure they have adequate staffing between 6 am and 6 pm, with a goal of establishing the group in three months’ time.
