The lawyer for a Lower Burrell man charged in a grand jury probe into allegations of widespread child sex abuse claims within the Jehovah Witnesses community. The Trib reports that Defense attorney Dan Joseph, who represents Ronald Mangone said the alleged victim’s testimony during a preliminary hearing earlier this year was too vague and failed include specific claims, such dates and locations of the alleged assaults. Mangone was charged with three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault and other crimes in connection with allegations raised by a now 38-year-old woman. She claims she was the victim of repeated sexual assaults by Mangone dating back to 1991 when she was between 5 and 8 years old. Her allegations were included in a statewide grand jury probe. No rulings were made yesterday. He remains free on $100,000 bail.
