The trial of a Mt. Pleasant woman charged with hitting two pedestrians with her vehicle while driving while intoxicated got underway yesterday. The Trib reports 34-year-old Elizabeth Sirianni is charged with drunken driving and aggravated assault connected with the crash in July of 2020 in Mt. Pleasant Township. 23-year-old Vincent Polito of Mt. Pleasant suffered leg and rib fractures, as well as head and brain injuries that resulted in strokes and seizures while Lawrence Grimes, 40, of Armstrong County, received a minor arm injury. The trial continues today.
