The coach of the Hempfield boys basketball team has resigned less than a week after an investigation into him started. The Trib reports that Bill Swan was put on administrative leave from his coaching and guidance counselor positions on January 14th after the district started to investigate an allegation submitted by a parent. Details on the investigation were not released. Superintendent Mark Holtzman said Swan is still employed as a guidance counselor but will remain on administrative leave for the time being. He added that state police are conducting their own investigation.
