ELDERLY MAN RECOVERS FROM HYPOTHERMIA AFTER CAR CRASH

An elderly man is recovering after suffering hypothermia while stuck in a crashed vehicle in Lower Burrell.  Officials say a person walking their dog spotted the man’s SUV stuck in a ditch near the Hill Crest Country Club around eight o’clock yesterday morning.  The driver told officials he had been trapped since around 5:00 p.m. on Monday.  Temperatures through the night Monday into early Tuesday ranged from about five to ten degrees.
