An injunction has been sought to halt the demolition of a condemned North Huntingdon tavern. The Trib reports that the request came from the owners of the former Rivertowne Pub and Grille. The building has been vacant since the business closed in 2018, and it was condemned in 2021 after inspectors said the building was unsafe. In January, North Huntingdon officials awarded a contract to DJ Demo LLC to tear it down. The property owners filed the documents that would temporarily halt the demolition.
