Hempfield Township supervisors are expected to vote this evening on a management takeover of the Midway-Saint Clair Fire Department. If the proposal is approved, the township would take ownership of the station and handle the operation’s finances. Township Manager Aaron Siko says the firefighters with the department have agreed to the deal. The vote is happening at the supervisors meeting, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the municipal building on Woodward Drive.
