PRELIMINARY HEARING TODAY FOR MT. PLEASSANT WOMAN CHARGED WITH HARASSMENT AND IMPERSONATING A PUBLIC SERVANT

A preliminary hearing is set for today for a  Mt. Pleasant woman charged with harassment and impersonating a public servant.  KDKA-TV reports that Jillian Gearhart acted as an HR representative for Westmoreland Park Police when she interviewed David Soots at the Mt. Pleasant Walmart and made a job offer with the park police.  The problem was that Gearhart was not a real HR Rep and there was no police job available.  Soots had resigned from his previous job to take this offer, but when he found it was fake, he rescinded the resignation and called police.
