ROUTE 30 CRASH IN UNITY KILLS ONE AND INJURES ANOTHER

One person was killed and another was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 30 in Unity on Thursday.  The Trib reports that 83-year-old Barbara Kravits died at a hospital.  She was taken there after the crash at 10 AM on Route 30 near Kingston Dam.  State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Stephen Limani said that a Mercedes driven by Eugene Kravits went off the highway, hit a tree and rolled over.  The two were extricated by firefighters and taken to a nearby hospital.  It’s believed that the driver may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash.  The road was closed for several hours while state police investigated.
