Police are releasing more information about a child who was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in Butler. A police investigation has determined that a six-year-old, who has significant disabilities and is known to the department, darted out into the road. He was struck by a vehicle and suffered a fractured skull and multiple broken bones. His mother was at the scene. He was flown to Children’s Hospital where his prognosis is good. The driver stayed at the scene, cooperated fully, and will not be charged.
