MAN FOUND DEAD IN LIGONIER TOWNSHIP HOME

A 69-year-old man was found dead at his home in Ligonier Township and around 40 cats were rescued from his home.  The Trib reports that the unnamed man was found dead last Monday evening after officers were sent to do a welfare check on him. His death was not considered suspicious.  Ninth Life Rescue Center officials say that cats are still being trapped outside after they escaped when police did that welfare check.  The cats did not have food or water, and many had medical issues.
