ARNOLD MAN FACES PRISON TIME FOR GAS STATION ROBBERY

An Arnold man faces up to 20 years in prison for a guilty plea in connection with a New Kensington gas station robbery.  The Trib reports 34-year-old Chad William Fitzgerald was charged in connection with the August 14, 2024 robbery of the Sunoco gas station on Tarentum Bridge Road at Caldwell Avenue.  Police said he threatened staff at knifepoint and stole $37 in cash and two packs of cigarettes.  A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for three months from Tuesday.
