The family of a Latrobe area man paralyzed in a 2020 car crash in Ligonier Township claim failures of the local police lead to his eventual death. The Trib reports that the family of 49-year-old Donald Hall claim that in November of 2020, police detained him but allowed him to drive away despite the fact that he was drunk. Hall crashed into some trees on a road near Rector and died about two and a half years later from injuries related to the crash. The family’s attorney said that his death could have been prevented at any point along the way.
