The man charged with killing the owner of Mogie’s Irish Pub in Lower Burrell remains in Torrance state hospital in Derry and is unable to stand trial, according to a Westmoreland County Judge. The Trib reports 46-year-old Nathan Salem of Lower Burrell has been in custody without bond since December 21st of 2023, when he was charged with shooting David “Mogie” Magill outside his establishment along Leechburg Road. Experts had claimed that Salem had “lost touch with reality” and was suffering from delusions and hallucinations, leaving him unable to help in his own defense. No word on how long Salem will remain at Torrance.
