Informational pickets will be held today outside the Indiana Regional Medical Center. The Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals are organizing the event, with a rally to be held at noon today. The union represents 270 nurses at the hospital who have been without a contract for seven years. They are saying that staffing levels at the hospital are too low. IRMC officials say the hospital will be open as normal today, and they remain dedicated and committed to the nursing staff, and have continued to bargain in good faith.
