PRIVATE MONESSEN CLUB BEING SUED OVER SHOOTING

A private club in Monessen is being sued over a shooting that resulted in a member being hurt last month.  The Trib reports that Amir Reid claims the Monessen Elks Oaky Lodge staff served an intoxicated guest and failed to act when he brandished a firearm during a fight outside the club.  34-year-old Jamont Minnie of Monessen fired at least one shot that hit Reid in the arm.  Minnie is in Westmoreland County Jail, Reed claims the club was negligent in providing inadequate security.
