A high school sophomore in Westmoreland County is being recognized for helping raise more than 18-thousand-dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Penn-Trafford student Abby Rayman and her team nearly doubled their goal of ten-thousand-dollars when they began their fund-raising in February. Rayman was honored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Student Visionaries of the Year” program during a recent event at Acrisure Stadium. Rayman told Trib-Live in February she was inspired by eight-year-old Kiski Area Upper Elementary School student Nora Caporali, who had been diagnosed with leukemia just before she turned two-years-old. Nora accompanied Rayman at the awards event.
