Pirates owner Bob Nutting is apologizing to fans who were outraged by the removal of the Bucco Bricks at PNC Park. Nutting sent an email to TribLive, saying he is holding himself responsible after workers pulled out the personalized bricks during the offseason and sent them to a landfill. The team owner says the move was disrespectful, a mistake, and wrong. The Pirates sold roughly 10-thousand of the bricks with personal messages engraved on them starting in 1999.
